Sweet & Sour Chicken Set

Sweet and sour chicken originated in China and was adapted by Chinese immigrants that worked as cooks in Singapore during the colonial days to cater to British tastes. It is now a popular dish in many Western countries including the US.

It is typically consists of battered and fried chicken pieces that are then coated in a tangy, sweet and sour sauce. The sauce is usually made with a combination of vinegar, sugar, ketchup, and other flavorings, such as garlic, and ginger. The chicken is often served with rice and vegetables, such as bell peppers & onions.
